The Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which adults or older
children interested in becoming a Catholic are introduced to the Catholic faith
and way of life.
The
RCIA involves a number of stages and liturgical rites before the person becomes
a full member of the Roman Catholic Church, usually at the Easter Vigil.
